I'll bring you back that for which you long...

Now that I see the downside
Always hanging round
in the beginning and in the end
threatening to tear it down
When was the last time that you laid
on the cold wet ground

you could never say that to me
It’s dripping from the tree or go there
Homing pigeons Mourning doves
Each religion rise above
Listen to what the meadow filled guts have to say

It ain’t that I don’t see you
By the side of the road
It’s just that I know where your going
You got a plan thats right in hand
But the drink won’t relinquish control
Anyway you go, it’s a heavy load
That you already know

Is that how they’ll arrive
moving through the forest haze
Old couple and son flying along
the anxiety in me contained
Feeling like a tesla coil
the morning star gives it to you
on a foil colored painted cloud
be careful now
the power that you
have to control

You might resent them
for passing you by
but they’ve got fresher fish to fry
to season gently with a wish
to put their love with it
Send your prayers right out there
hear them resound within the fur

Going way back home again
deep into the mountain zones
Going way back home again
I’ll bring you back that for which you long
The medicines, the flavors,
the morels in the broken seam
the thriving tempo from chest
the carved out hydraulic flow

Why was it so hard to see
the obvious in front of me
To do so would have been revelatory
Cat on a surfboard
The generosity of trees
Bald eagle by the side of the I5
